# Making your first cinematics

Let's jump into editing by working together through your first cinematic! This chapter covers almost everything you need to know about dollycam.

Dollycam is an amazing tool for smooth cinematics, for editing and creating montages. Video tutorials for dollycam are **highly** recommended, as dollycam is very hard to explain through text.

Keep in mind, most dollycam tutorials use the grave (`~`/`` ` ``/`¬`) menu, which is the key next to `1` on the keyboard. However, it is suggested to use the new BakkesMod console, which is opened by `F6`, or `Fn`+`F6` on some keyboards.

As BakkesMod comes with the dollycam plugin by default, you don't need to do anything to install it.
