# How to use ReShade

To use ReShade, start up Rocket League, and then click the Home key on your keyboard. This will open up the ReShade menu.

At the top are tabs to different parts of the menu; although you will probably *never* need these. I do recommend going into the settings tab and adding a binding for `Effect Toggle Key`, as this allows you to turn off your ReShade preset by the press of a key.

Under that is the preset box, where you can create presets by clicking the `+` button. Clicking the box with the preset name on it allows you to see all of your presets. They all end in a `.ini`.

Below that is the effects menu, which contains a list of effects that ReShade has. Clicking the boxes next to them will turn them off and on.\
Clicking `Active to top` moves all active effects to the top of the menu, for easier access. You can also search through the effects with the search bar.

As well as this, you can drag effects above and below each other, which affects how the final image looks. Effects above others will happen first, while effects at the bottom will happen last.

The bottom section is finer controls for each effect. With this you can change basically everything about the effects you select. This includes things like color of fog, algorithms for sharpness, amount of depth of field, etc. You will likely spend the most amount of time in this section of the menu. Have fun messing around with this!
